My market has Kroger cheese on sale this week - 1 lb for $2.99 - the exact same price as the 1/2 lb package.

I questioned this when they did it once before but I guess the marketing folk know what they're doing :)

Cheese prices are interesting in Socal. Jons Market also offer good deals on deli cheeses. Some others, $5 to $6 a pound -- nm - budice Apr 7, 22:21 2
- For prepackaged cheeses, walmart market is decent $2 to $2.50 for half pound -- nm - budice Apr 7, 22:21 1
  - That's generally around what I pay at Ralphs - $1.50 - $1.99 on special. I also sometimes get preferred customer coupons for those. - Meg Apr 7, 22:32
