Ah, I have now travelled 16 hours to do what should have been a 5 hour flight. I hate our corporate travel agent.

Me: "here are the flights I want."
Them, 5 days later: "we can't book those from New Zealand, can you book them yourself?"
at that point the direct flight was sold out, so I had to fly cross-country in the entirely wrong direction to get on a longer connector. Oh well, more miles I guess.
