Is there an NBA equivalent (the undisputed top level league in the world in the sport) in soccer?

No matter where you are in the world as a player there is no disputing that your goal is to play in the NBA if you want to play at the highest level.

In soccer it seems like there is more than one league (Premier League, Bundesliga, etc.) that can claim itself as the top league in the world. That's kind of step one barrier for me to follow soccer. I don't even know where to start.

Also, do teams play in multiple leagues? (Not talking about relegation, I understand that.) It seems like the same teams play in different leagues. Like this game is an X League game but the same team could also be playing in a Y League game later.
