Seems to me that the registration deadline for new registrants (which was March 25) is a more reasonable party-switch deadline. I do get what you're saying, and this rule (which is a NY State rule for all parties, not a Democratic Party rule) is certainly meant to restrict voting to those who actually identify as part of (whichever) party. But man, it just feels kinda ugly to me.

The Sanders supporters in Nate's mentions are having NONE of this rule.
