I'll be interested in the postmortems analyzing why. (I have some thoughts but I'm no expert)

I really want it to be because America is moving left but I don't think that's the case, at least not in any meaningful way.

I think/hope part of it is that the younger element of the Democratic party (and of previously non-party affiliated young people) is further left
