Ok, I get ignorance here, but she seems to be trying to not be a bigot about it. Again for someone who is ignorant, or who has religious objections

(which includes some ignorance), isn't her way of approaching it kind of ideal? She essentially acknowledges the people and whether she "agrees or disagrees" she indicates a belief that people should live and let live. That doesn't seem horrible to me.
