Someone bumps your car and you have the right to chase him down, purposefully rear end him, and then shoot him to death? Really?

Even if Smith did read end him, what's his name couldn't have possibly felt his life was in danger once Smith drove off. To then purposefully run into Smith's car then makes him the aggressor.
