I am guessing they are doing some level of screening. But is it just "Are you registered Democrat" or does it go as far to say "were you registered as a Democrat last year / last election? No? So then when did you update your registration?"
On the flip side, you probably have some folks who are registered Dem but on the fence who were attracted to Trump but didn't switch parties. Bet they vote Bernie, but also expect there aren't great numbers of those folks
