I think the basic flaw in their argument is that it is impossible to consistently argue that only you are able to express your opinions and exert

economic influence in pursuit of your agenda. So, it is hypocritical and disingenuous to argue that others are being unfair by exerting their influence in response to expressed views. If someone is refusing to serve people who are asserting their religious beliefs (or bigotry), those who are not being served (and their supporters) are free to boycott that business. If the bigots of NC want to stop using Paypal in response, that's their right. But you can't argue with a straight face that only your viewpoints are protected.
