how awful. :( - I google mapped the area, and it looks like that highway isn't very wide, just one lane each way; but no crosswalks. :/ -- nm

That's the antithesis of a walkable area. They had protests, PROTESTS because people wanted to put in a bike lane when they widened that road elsewher -- nm

My dad lives off 109 right near where that happened. It is not a safe area to cross, also the speed limit is like 45 mph.
