the biggest thing to avoid is processed foods, from frozen to canned. I'm a bit extra special needy, with not being able to stand and cook for long at a time; so I go for fast/not-much-prep most of the time. below are some things I've done recently, off the top of my head.
snacks:
fruit
yogurt
yogurt and fruit ;) -
apple and nut butter (check labels, but a little goes a long way so most aren't so bad)
unsalted nuts (I like cashews and mixed nuts best - including cvs's store brand - gold emblem iirc, and they're on sale regularly)\
cereal or trail mix
roasted garbanzo beans with herbs on 'em (many recipes out there, super easy and hits the spot if you want something crunchy - I take a can of no salt added, rinse it in a colander, shake it a bunch to get the moisture out, toss with some drizzled evoo then some mrs. dash or other salt free blends I have or some combo of spices if I want something with some heat)
veggies and low-sodium dips (diy lowfat sour cream, light mayo and herbs, or use a lower-sodium salad dressing) - watch out for overdoing it on tomatoes, though, as they're naturally higher in sodium than many others.
air pop popcorn with herbs and a little parmesan cheese (it has sodium but a little of it goes a long way flavorwise), or with a little salt and splenda added for a version of kettle corn. (at least you control the amount of salt.)
---
meals: my go to this time of year is salads with lots of stuff on them - veggies, grilled chicken or baked fish, balsamic vinegar and some evoo, pepper, maybe some herbs.
you can do sandwiches, wraps, "stuff on rice or pasta" or "stuff on a plate" - that's when I take bits of various things and put them together. protein (chicken or fish for me), some lower-sodium cheese, microwave or stove-steamed veggies or oven roasted if it's not too hot. the key is making sure none of the inclusions are high in sodium. I most miss soups and tomato sauces.
I bookmarked this site recently - she does all low sodium:

there are *tons* of other sites and pinterest boards and such with suggestions and recipes, too.
