based on my experience, there aren't a ton of books that are freely available in full on there -- (edited)

that was their argument - bits of books aren't the whole things. (sometimes, seeing the bits can actually encourage people to buy.) -- (edited)

i guess. i've only bought one thing from them, which i needed for research and wasn't available in hard copy anywhere else
