Sometimes I really hate working adoptions on the city shelter side....

Two adoptions in two days that I have serious misgivings about, but we/they can't refuse to adopt to anyone if the potential adopters insist.

Yesterday it was a cute little chihuahua to a couple that were looking for a playmate for their chihuahua who is now a strictly outside dog because a grandchild that lives with them has serious dog allergies. Bad enough to adopt an outside only dog, but this one is not an independent dog, he needs human companionship.

Then today, a guy who seemed a bit off his rocker, telling stories of being a former Special Forces operator who speaks 7 languages (he seemed to have trouble speaking one...) who told me while I was showing him the dogs that he's had to move seven times in two years... He adopted Roy, the shepherd mix I posted a picture of with me on FB yesterday.

Unfortunately, all I can do is say a prayer and hope I'm wrong!
