OF course they are in course correction mode, but WW and SS are good starts. And Afflecks Batman is a damn smart move as well. The problem with BVS...

is that they let Snyder make The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller. And while that is a landmark piece of fiction (there's a reason it's always on a Top 5 list of greatest graphic novels), and fans of Batman always wanted to see it filmed....it's not for everyone. It's clearly to dark a take on Batman let alone Superman. I just watched the animated Dark Knight Returns and there are scenes in there and the graphic novel that Snyder straight lifted out of there. He took the Frank Miller mentality and applied his very considerable talent for visuals to it. That was a mistake.
He could have still done a dark take of Batman that wouldn't have been to that level and done so much more money....
