OK, then maaaybe you wouldn't like Zero Effect ... but on the flip side, it's also a retelling of Sherlock Holmes, so if that's something you're into

it might work for you.
They're all linked by Ben Stiller, but Ben Stiller didn't direct or write Zero Effect, it was Jake Kasdan. I personally think it's definitely worth checking out.
