I cannot say this enough: Supergirl is the stupidest show on TV. Maybe ever.

Even if you took the stupid plot points away (which, honestly, how can you?), the terrible dialogue is just mind-number.
"It's like using an uzi for a mosquito."
"And we're the mosquito."
Someone wrote that. Someone put fingers to a keyboard and wrote that.
But onward... to the plot! In this week's episode, Kara uses an old analog broadcast station to transmit a signal of hope to the mind-controlled people of her city. This was her alternative to a kryptonite bomb. Let's transmit a signal of hope! And fortunately all the people have analog antennas and are watching TV, on the right channel... no, wait... they're watching on their cell phones! All of them!
So when the evil Krytonians are thwarted, they decide to kill everyone. And although Kara called in Kal-El to help when everyone is mind-controlled, now that the entire human race is on the verge of dying, she decides to do this herself.
