Once or twice a year there are/will be monster updates with Windows 10 that can take more than 30 minutes, depending on how fast your connection is.

They're mending and improving it in big, bulk moves.
With my Compaq Presario laptop it's been an improvement over the Windows 7 I ran on it before. There were frequent crashes and BSOD with the latter, but almost never with 10.
I don't use Edge, though, so far - I still go with Chrome (but Edge functions keep running and active in the background, regardless - it's so integrated into 10 that you can't turn them off).
