My guess is that Prof's actual power is that he steals the power of Epics he is near when they die.
He's been accumulating powers by hitting minor Epics till now and why he never hit any biggies before but was building to it and now he has Stealheart's powers....
Just a guess based on what David was thinking when Prof locked him in the base (and picked him up by the neck) (David just shot out the porthole to escape is where I am).
