Ozzie Silna, who made millions off a nonexistent NBA franchise, dies at 83.

He and his brother were co-owners of the Spirits of St. Louis, an ABA franchise. When the NBA absorbed part of the NBA, they bought out the remaining teams. The Silna brothers took a partial share of future TV revenue in lieu of cash. $$$$$$
