This. But I've never had a strong *party* allegiance. I'm more interested in policies and whether they work as intended.

The GOP has offered very little in the way of policies that work as intended (or as the GOP *says* they are intended), so I've aligned with the Dems for a very long time.
The minute the GOP stops supporting broken policies, I'll start considering giving them my vote.
