Okay, they hammered it into people that Jon Snow was Dead. Jon Snow, Jon Snow, Jon Snow...all the while, we knew Kit Harrington was still on the show and as of last night, The corpse formerly known as Jon Snow awoke.

This reborn character could be any number of things given the insistence of the producers to say Jon is dead. Who knows what he is; much less what his next action is.
