i've been staying with them for a while after I started back to college a while back. not by design, just out of necessity (i'm single w/out children or aynthing, for whatever that's worth) ...
brother has been living in another town off and on about 1 hour drive away. of course, when he fell on hard times about 2 years ago, they let him move in for a while, and that's when the shit really started. and then he moved out for a while, started drinking and partying etc much more ... this was after he got separated from his wife (I don't even know if the divorce has ever been finalized) ... and then he went and started getting himself in a mess again back around Christmas. so, naturally, they let him come back and he brought the crap with him. and then things started to catch up to him and he got busted on the 2nd DUI back in January. so yeah, that's kind of where it stands.
and right now, i'm at the point of frustration with everyone that i'm okay with walking away from what college stuff i have left (I have a B.A. already, had been doing some work on a Master's, but that's a story for another time, and i've been working on getting teaching certification) ... so, yeah, between that and working here lately upwards of around 30 hours a week on top of school, etc., i've had a very full plate. and i'm at the point where my sanity and such is so much more precious to me. i'd be okay with walking away from this place, if it came to that, and starting up a new life somewhere else.
self should always come 1st, as selfish as that might sound. but then, i'm a firm believer in "you are responsible for and to yourself first and above all others" ... so ...
