Never had allergy issues before I moved here. There's this thing here known variously as Ohio Valley Air, Cincinnati Air, and others, that caused me on many mornings to wake up with a serious sinus headache. Started taking generic Claritin upon Dr's advice which helped for a couple years. Switched to generic Zyrtec. Mind, this isn't just seasonal - it's ALL year.
Must be a sign of age that it's so bad now I needed a shot of prednisone. (We're also experiencing some wicked high tree pollen right now.) Was told I should feel better by tonight. Also told to take some antacids because post-nasal drip (possibly in combination with another drug I take) is causing some serious stomach acid. If I'm not better by Saturday I have a standing order for bloodwork. Here's hoping for better soon.
