I had a fairly reasonable conversation with a relative yesterday, and was dismayed (though not surprised) by the visceral spite for Clinton.

She acknowledged that Trump is a bully, a clown, thin-skinned, no-nothing, etc., but he is a tolerable alternative to Clinton.

"But she's a criminal!"
"But she lied!"
"But she's covered for her Husband for decades!"

I tried to tell her that from my perspective, Clinton's policies are not going to be much different from Obama's, so conservatives would survive her presidency the same way they survived his. But if Trump were in charge, it would ruin America for generations, and none of us can predict what he really is going to do, policy-wise, anyway!

But man, she *really* doesn't like Clinton.
