so, i finally got around to sending the super-cute Library Girl a friend request on facebook today and she just accepted it ...

that's a good step in the right direction, right? :)

and i'm thinking that i might ask her if she wants to join me and some of my friends at the end of the month in going to a renaissance festival that's going on each weekend in May. it's a safe "date" thing, if one were to consider it a "date" with nothing too risky or anything ... group of folks, out on a Saturday at a ren-fest with the possibility of breaking off from the group if there's a particular little thing going on at a given time that she wants to do ... and i think it's safe to say she's the type of person who'd enjoy an event like that. and i'm prepared to punish my wallet a little bit for it ($20 a pop to get in, and the food prices are unbearable) ...
