In response to "has anyone here seen Synecdoche, NY?" by znufrii

Well, I would describe it as being repeatedly stabbed with a knife, in a bad way.

Although there are indeed some few sparse moments of true greatness. But it's probably the most self-indulgent movie I have seen in quite a while. All this crap of the self-tortured unfulfilled artist just doesn't ring very true anymore when you are admired throughout the world and have an Oscar. The movie also seems to suffer from ADD where it jumps to crazy idea to crazy idea without really savoring or ellaborating them.

But if you like Kaufmann's work (and I really do), I guess you have to check it out (I know a few of people I went with loved it).
