Look at the clip. he was coming back and was trying to turn out of the grip the whole time -- (edited)

Beltre's got some pounds on him and had a running start so he got him 10 feet clear before anything could happen.
(and was trying to make sure Bautista didn't get a chance to really hurt Odor, now that Bautista knew what kind of fight it was)
