In Sept. 09 we adopted Gypsy. In In Aug 10 she was deathly ill and we got that figured out over the course of almost 2 years. But her illness is

winning and we are saying goodbye to her tomorrow.

She got six more years with us than she would have gotten with most other families. She got 4 or 5 more years than I ever expected her to get, based on the severity of her illness.

She ended up having an autoimmune disorder that we treated with steroids. The steroids have caused diabetes and she has lost significant weight over the last 6 months. She is a walking skeleton. We gave her a lot more life than I ever thought she would have, so I'm grateful for that, but really sad to have to say goodbye.
