he was probably always a homophobe and antisemite, but he only became unbalanced after he was seduced away from his wife of decades by a crazy but hot younger woman. The situations seem eerily similar, and Heard's love of the ladies is well established. If he found out she'd cheated throughout, I'm perfectly willing to believe he's capable of this. The same is true if he's become an addict. It's not how he's been known throughout his career, though.
