In response to "Do kids today still read Doc Savage books? I thought they were rather antiquated when I read them in the 70s. -- nm" by GregW

relatedly (and i think i brought this up a week or 2 ago) i found a used bookstore w/ a lot of old Hardy Boys mystery books ...

i'm thinking in a week or two, when i have a little money to spare, i'm going to pick some of them up and relive some of my childhood memories ... and then critically examine them and raise all sorts of questions about how it worked ...

i mean, seriously, these were late teens / early 20s guys solving mysteries in their spare time away from school ,,, and doing it quicker than a pack of kids in a Mystery Machine... how did they ever find time to go to school or pay for all of their travels? (besides their dad, of course)
