I don't think there is a current equivalent to Ali for one important reason. No one with legit hundreds of millions of dollars on the line has the

courage to stand against their corporate masters. Ali's talent relative to his sport isn't singular in the way that Jordan or Tiger were at their apex but what separated him was his moral stances at a tumultuous time.

All that shit that Earl Woods talked about Tiger changing the world...that's what Ali did.

Instead, we got Jordan going, "Republicans buy sneakers too."
