Well, my son wanted to start playing Overwatch on the PC instead of his XBONE so we bought and it has been a lesson in futility

1) Mom's PC which he uses to play LoL has unsupported graphics (not a real surprise, I suspected it would be too weak).

2) Son's PC which is my old desktop rig use for Diablo III, EVE, etc. can't install it because it isn't a 64-bit OS (Windows 7 32-bit)

Windows 10 can go from 32 to 64-bit with a reinstall once you upgrade to Windows 10 (to get the license).

3) Windows 10 upgrade keeps failing at various points with obscure errors including saying Display is unsupported when in fact it is supported (Nvidia 9600 GSO)

I had to wipe and do a clean install of Windows 10 for similar reasons. or rather the IT guy did. -- nm - mafic Jun 20, 06:26 1
- I'd have done a full reinstall of Win7 to 64-bit by now to get it rolling but like most PCs, it came with the PC so reinstalling to a different bit - oblique Jun 20, 06:27
