As someone else pointed out on a backboard, if those troops had committed earlier, the battle wouldn't have taken shape as it did. Instead, Bolton would have kept his troops near the castle, leading to a siege the Starks were unlikely to win. It was only after Bolton committed his troops to the middle of the field that knighted warriors could run through the phalanx.
So, her telling him wouldn't have helped any and probably would have hurt them overall.
