I agree with this. And it's easy now to segregate yourself entirely into a world of your own choosing...

you can listen, watch and experience everything just as you want it with no interference that challenges your view. You can actually physically wall yourself off with earbuds and a smart phone while in public. I see it all the time and it rankles me more and more.
