I admired the battle logic of it. Littlefinger's army charging through the phalanx was *spectacular*.
A lot of the Jon Snow stuff just didn't work for me. I admire what they tried to do in showing the chaos of large scale battle while employing valid historical military tactics. The technical stuff used to film it made it feel fake to me. Conversely, I loved The Battle of Blackwater, which did a much better job of maintaining tension for me.
