men in the box against a running team in football on running downs. Dropping back extra people in coverage against a throwing team. Shading a right handed point guard to force him to go left. It's the nature of sports. Ok, it could be a higher scoring game (if that's the goal) if you handcuff the defense, but both teams play by the same rules.
