this doesn't quite address what mafic said and, in part, is what I was getting at below - not everyone is going to think they need to pre-plan/learn

about a car feature so thoroughly, unless it's made expressly clear to them upon purchase. (or is in the news enough that now they know without that, but that's still not necessarily a 100% thing.)

of course, it's mostly on those people if something happens; but companies have to take humans and their flaws into account in general, let alone when it comes to features that could be really dangerous if used improperly.
