pulled over for a busted tailight.
he told the officer he was a permit carrying firearm holder
he told the officer he was reaching for his id when the officer shot him
in this particular case, if the cop was worried about the firearm, he should have had the guy get out of the car first, and taken the gun off him before asking for him to get his id out. ESPECIALLY with a young child in the backseat of the car.
