better between police and citizens, where mutual respect has been shown for BLM demonstrators and police over time, has no good reason.
(ed. to add: not that I think it's a good idea anywhere, but in a place where sending a message could well distract police protecting your booty and distract attention in general from the killings is extra dumb to me.)
