I dunno about soothing and reparative but my retreat is running

If things are generally going well then 6+ at cruising speed for an hour (hour+?) of just moving along listening to a book

If things are going bad, faster and quickly the body becomes the primary focus and physical effort/pain tends to obliterate all the mental stuff. Haven't had to do that one in awhile....

and more soothing but definitely not reparative...there's always beer or vodka
