Even that press release I think I read differently than you (and differently than other cars advertise these features). It has one sentence buried in

the middle that says "Tesla requires drivers to remain engaged and aware when Autosteer is enabled. Drivers must keep their hands on the steering wheel." It is surrounded by all the things the car will do for you. Even the changing lanes it describes as doing automatically "when it is safe to do so". Other cars advertise their features as safety back-ups. Keep you in your lane provide braking if something stops in front of you. The one exception being parking, but that's low risk. I'm not saying the features are bad on the tesla or unimpressive or unsafe for an aware driver, but other than a buried disclaimer, they are marketing it as something different than the others. I think that's to their detriment.
