It's not really a Yoko situation. I'm not sure what the best analogy is. We just have people who are delusional about what we are. What we are in

reality is an "ensemble" at the Old Town School of Folk music. It's a class we sign up for. It's once a week. Once every month or 2 we play out somewhere. Some people seem to have illusions that this is potentially more than that. They seem to think that our teacher should be devoted to us instead of just another of his classes (he goes way above and beyond what he really gets paid to do for us as it is). We are all different skill levels and different goals. Some view themselves as really trying to become musicians (I don't think we have anyone, except possibly for the drummer, who is part of the problem) that is really good enough for that. Some view this as a place to have fun and relax (that's me) and occasionally get to play out our rock start fantasies. The others are starting to make that less fun. A couple of weeks ago one of the others decided to make an issue of the fact that he hasn't been given a song to sing in a while (he's not a good singer). In turned into a yelling match with the teacher with the student telling the teacher go fuck himself. Last night the teacher decided we should talk out the issues, but it mostly consisted of the teacher calling out the couple of guys who have been the problem and detailing what assholes they've been and threatening to kick them out of the class if they ever do it again. The teacher (who I generally think is great, but completely mishandled last night) just left me a voicemail asking for my feedback on how it went last night. I don't want to have this conversation.
