if you can have alien races and stuff all over the galaxy, and by extension humans all over the place, then wouldn't it make sense that they'd have dogs or something too?
i mean, really, there are memes out there that already demonstrate that we're in the star wars galaxy ... (i'll just refer you to the ET movie, ET's 'recognizing Yoda', and the scene in the movies where we see ETs at the Imperial Senate ...)
