right after the last big San Fran quake, we went to Santa Cruz boardwalk, place was *empty* we got fish 'n chips but it became a scene out of Birds

the gulls had no scraps for several days, no one fishing, no one tossing fries etc. we hardly got a couple bites before they started snatching stuff out of our hands, sitting on our heads even or trying to.
