I did in fact get it to work. Not sure what the problem was.

Each time I reset the router and repeated the setup there was a different problem.
First, wired connection but not wireless.
Then, everything went out when I cloned the MAC address.
Then, I could get a connection but couldn't get into the management site.

But everything's up now and seems to be working well enough.

It made for a mess of an evening but I still appreciate getting the recommendation from you guys
