that made me hope he had just decided not to visit here any more.

I remember contacting another former STer after months of no contact and getting a reply that basically read "I'm really busy with life and don't feel the need to be on ST any more." So, I hoped that Dane was ok, just not in the mood to visit us any more. The reality of the situation makes me sad.
