I have a couple of co-workers who think they're quite clever. In a Dennis Miller sense.

They drop obscure references into their conversations and then pause to see if you've understood. For instance, "I subscribe to the Curtis Lemay school of strategic defense" (makes you wonder what the conversation was about). Pause. Wait for acknowledgment or the blank stare that then requires the know-it-all explanation.

In that sense, they are very much like ST.
