I don't agree exactly. The NCAA is what is it is; even for tertiary level athletes. They knew this going in and still chose it.

And she chose that program, the one that the coaches didn't use her in her specialty...
I hate to say it; but that's on her and her family to know what the team is going to expect of her and how they are going to use her. She's an Olympic darling; she has the leverage there.
I wish her the best because she was an absolute sweetheart but the system didn't change against her.
