cheaper to cover than a stupid photo op that was the traditional mainstay of network news. for a year or so cnn was so strapped for cash that they often resorted to, 'here's what they are saying on social media' and well drumpf was golden click bait to a hungry news show.
and the public loved it, so the entire news media, and tv talk shows, coiled around him like a boa thinking they were going to get fed but it was drumpf handling them.
