Okay so for No Man's Sky, what is a better weapon system to use in space combat early on??

the beam lasers? or the pulse weapon?

Im only on my 2nd ship and ive warped to new systems only 3 times now.

(yes I rename every system and every planet and rename interesting native fauna)
